Meet some of the Dogs of Chandler Pond who walk around the pond with their owners
Blitz
Blitz is a Border Collie. She is one of the Geese Police dogs and visits the pond five days a week. She is dedicated to making sure the geese don’t overrun the pond, and wants to ask you to please not feed the geese.
Jake
Hi, my name is Jake and I am an 11 year-old German Shorthaired Pointer or GSP. I live at 130 Lake Street with my dads. Don't let my age fool you, I am spry and active senior. I enjoy walks around Chandler pond with my afternoon dog walking pack, snacks like frozen blueberries, and my stuffed ducky. I also enjoy weekend trips to the Cape, hikes in the Maine woods, and the wildlife around Chandler pond. I hope to see you out enjoying the pond neighborhood. I am friendly with all people and enjoy a good chin rub.
Aengus
At 15, Aengus is the resident elder of Chandler Pond. A prolific hunter in his youth, Aengus adored chasing squirrels, geese, and other critters and would even jump into trees to pursue his quarry. Now a distinguished senior, Aengus prefers to spend his time lazing in the yard or strolling along the pond looking for adoring neighbors to rub his ears.
Chesty
Chesty is a rescue dog from Puerto Rico, who was adopted from Salem Animal Rescue when he was 6 months old. He loves to eat goose poop and, while his owners are excited, he is not happy that the geese police dogs have gotten the geese to stop pooping on the sidewalks.
Jaddi
Jaddi, a maltese poodle, keeping warm in his new sweater. His owner is Dominique.
Natale
Natale was born in West Virginia. The 16lb fluffball and her littermates made their way up to Northeast animal shelter and then to Boston’s north end where she was adopted. She is a quiet, gentle soul who would rather walk away and let her soulful eyes let you know what she is feeling, than bark. She’s lived in The North End, Brookline, NYC, Charlestown, Somerville and now enjoys her senior years on the pond chasing the geese and making friends with everyone she meets. Natale is the official mascot (and name sake of) The Black Dog Real Estate Group, llc. She still works, but spends a lot of time sleeping on the job.
Marlowe
Marlow is a 3 year old Coonhound/Lab mix born in Arkansas and rescued through Boston-based Last Hope K9. She loves to sniff every inch of Chandler pond, chase birds and geese, roll in the grass, and visit friends in the neighborhood.
